The Co-Operative University of Kenya
The Co-Operative University of Kenya holds dear the dream of promoting the Co-operative movement in Kenya through training, research, education and consultancy.
It is situated about 20km from Nairobi’s CBD the University has rapidly spread its reach physically and academically to carter for the ever rising need for higher education in Kenya.
The Co-Operative University of Kenya operates four campuses: Langata campus, Nairobi town campus, Meru campus and Mombasa.
The University enrolled its first batch of 351 students in September, 2012pursuing two degree programmes; Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Co-operative management.
The University focuses on offering quality Co-operative training to the management, staff with specific focus on cooperative management, law, accountancy and Co-operative banking at certificate, diploma and degree level. Diploma courses offered include; co-operative management, micro finance, co-operative banking, public relations among others while certificate courses offered include co-operative banking and co-operative administration.
The University also offers research and consultancy services to the co-operative movement in the following areas: Poverty Reduction Programmes, Management of Co-operative Societies, Credit Management as well as Corporate Strategic Management.
The Co-operative University of Kenya, are committed to provide Quality Cooperative Education, Training, Research and Consultancy to meet customers’ needs and to continually improve on our services.
